Cross Roads Church Covenant

Having received Jesus as the Manager of my life and recognizing that Jesus is the only One who can rescue me from sin’s grip, having been baptized in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and being in agreement with the Church’s statement of faith, I now enter into the following covenant and commit myself to God and to the members of Cross Roads Baptist Church:

To be family, to be committed to each other until death or God’s call causes us to part, to protect the unity of my church by extending unconditional forgiveness and acceptance, by speaking the truth in love, by politely accepting correction, by refusing to gossip and by following the leaders.

I will share the responsibility of my church by praying for its growth, by sharing God’s activity in my life with pre-followers of Jesus Christ, by inviting pre-followers to associate with members of my church, and by warmly welcoming all those who visit our services.

I will serve the ministry of my church by discovering and utilizing my spiritual gifts, talents and skills, by willingly being equipped to serve and by developing a servant’s heart.

I will bring honor to this gathering of God’s children by attending the services faithfully, by maintaining a life style that brings pleasure to the heart of our Heavenly Father and by regularly giving as an act of worship recognizing that God is our only provider.
